Linganisa ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Planetary Escape Pvt Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our virtual try-on service through our website, mobile applications, and browser extension (collectively, the "Service").

We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. Please read this policy carefully. By using Linganisa, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and name through our authentication provider (Clerk).
  • Photos: Photos you upload for virtual try-on, including selfies and product images.
  • Product URLs: Links to products you want to try on, which we use to extract product images.
  • Feedback: Any feedback, bug reports, or support requests you submit.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: How you interact with our Service, including features used and actions taken.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and screen resolution.
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the Service: Process your photos to generate virtual try-on images.
  • Manage Your Account: Authenticate you and maintain your account.
  • Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and fix bugs.
  • Communicate: Send you service updates, notifications about your try-ons, and respond to support requests.
  • Ensure Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats.

4. AI Processing & Your Photos

We do NOT use your photos to train AI models. Your photos are processed solely to fulfill your explicit try-on request.

When you request a virtual try-on:

  • Your photo and the product image are sent to our AI processing service (Google Gemini API) to generate the try-on result.
  • The AI provider processes your images only to complete your requested generation.
  • Neither we nor our AI providers use your photos to train, improve, or develop AI models.
  • Generated images are stored in your account until you choose to delete them.

We prioritize on-device processing where possible. Images are only sent to cloud services when required for AI generation.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Linganisa:

  • Clerk (Authentication): Manages user accounts and sign-in. Privacy Policy
  • Convex (Database & Storage): Stores your account data, photos, and generated images. Privacy Policy
  • Google AI (Gemini) (Image Generation): Processes images to generate virtual try-ons. Privacy Policy
  • Fal AI (Image Processing): Additional image processing capabilities. Privacy Policy
  • Vercel (Hosting): Hosts our web application. Privacy Policy

These providers process your data according to their respective privacy policies and our data processing agreements with them.

6. Data Retention

  • Account Information: Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal compliance.
  • Photos You Upload: Retained until you delete them or delete your account.
  • Generated Try-On Images: Retained until you delete them or delete your account.
  • Temporary Processing Data: Product images extracted from URLs may be cached for up to 7 days to improve performance.
  • Usage Logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

You can delete your photos and try-on history at any time through the app. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:

  • All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
  • Photos and generated images are stored securely in Convex.
  • Authentication is handled securely by Clerk.
  • We regularly review and update our security practices.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we strive to protect your information using commercially acceptable means.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data. You can export your data from the app settings.
  • Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data. You can delete your account from the app settings.
  • Correct: Update or correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt-Out: Opt out of marketing communications (we currently do not send marketing emails).
  • Data Portability: Receive your data in a portable format.

9. Children's Privacy

Linganisa is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will delete such information.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. Our service providers (including Clerk, Convex, Google, and Vercel) operate globally. By using Linganisa, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

We ensure that any international transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that appropriate safeguards are in place.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Your continued use of Linganisa after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
